Steven Correa

Steven Correa is a Hip Hop dance, choreographer and instructor. Steven studied at Urban Dance Centre, completing his Fulltime Certificate IV in Performing Arts in 2009, he has been trained by and worked alongside industry giants including Juliette Verne, Julie Williamson, Tiana Joubert, Veronica Beattie, Paul Saliba, Rosa Agius, Amy Campbell, Sisqo, Jason Winters and many more.

Steven has worked on Network 10’s hit show So You Think You Can Dance as the main assistant to Tiana Canterbury with all of her Season 3 routines on the show, including Top 16 routine ’Rude Boy’, Top 14 routine ‘Can’t Touch This’ and Top 2 boys duo ‘Take your Shirt Off’. Steven has been also been a featured dancer in events such as Wrong Prom at CarriageWorks (2009), MC Hammer Dancer and Lips Dancer at Xbox Launch (2009), Carnival Sydney with Tony Czar, Jian Louis and Veronica Betties ‘Flappers Delight’ which he also performed at Short and Sweat (2010). Steven was a featured dancer on ABC’s “We are Canberra” in Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ parody. Steven choreographed and performed at the premier movie event of Michael Jackson’s movie ‘This Is It’ in 2009 and King of Shaves ‘Azor Razor’ Launch Sydney 2010.

Steven has vast experience in working with children, having taught dance to kids of various ages at many prestigious dance and performing arts schools in Sydney and broader NSW regions over the years. His style is fresh, and his approach to kids is very friendly and charismatic, always knowing how to encourage, motivate and bring the best out of them. Steven is the resident Kids Hip Hop teacher at MOVE, and he is also available for private lessons.
