Daria Walczak

Born in Poland and raised in Ukraine, Daria’s first passion was rhythmic gymnastics. After moving to Australia Daria discovered the world of DanceSport and began her competitive career in the styles of Ballroom and Latin American at the age of thirteen. Working with a number of world class coaches and dance instructors, Daria has established herself in the top ranks of Australian Latin American Ballroom dancing. Some of Daria’s competitive achievements are highlighted below:

· 2015, 2014, 2013 South Pacifics DanceSport Champion

· 2015, 2014, 2013 NSW Open Champion

· 2015, 2014 East Coast Champion

· 2014 Finalist and Australia’s 1st Representative to the Asia Pacific DanceSport Championships – Johor Bahru, Malaysia

· 2014 Australia’s 1st Representative to the WDSF World DanceSport Championships – Ostrava, Czech Republic

In addition to competition, Daria is passionate about performance and has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the world’s biggest music and dance icons:

· 2014 ‘Strictly Sydney’ feature dancer for ‘Strictly Ballroom’

· 2014 ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ media representative for Channel 10 morning show – ‘ Studio 10’

· 2014 – Present Cast member of stage show ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’

· 2013 Carols in the Domain alongside ‘Strictly Ballroom’ cast

· 2013 ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Channel 10 Media Launch

· 2013 ‘Strictly Ballroom’ Opening & Media Launch feature Latin American dancer.

· 2013 Feature dancer on nationally broadcast ‘The Voice Australia’ – dancing alongside music artists Ricky Martin, Seal, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem.

· 2012 Regular dancer/performer at Sydney Marquee for international and Australian artists such as Lil Jon, Kaskade, DJ Cassidy, Timmy Trumpet.

· 2009 Performed with international belly dancing superstar, Tanyeli, on her Australian tour
